• Criminal Defense
  To be charged with a criminal offense, there must be Reasonable Suspicion to suspect someone of committing the offense and Probable Cause to charge that person with the offense. To be convicted, the proof MUST be Beyond a Reasonable Doubt. We have handled hundreds of criminal matters and travel the courts of the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula on an almost daily basis defending our clients.
• DUI/DWI
  We handle DUI/BUI (Boating Under the Influence) throughout the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. DUI laws in the Commonwealth of Virginia are some of the most strict in the United States. Virginia’s laws are very complicated, wherein law intertwines with science. Essentially, the prosecution must prove BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT that you were intoxicated at.08% blood level or more at the time you were driving. There are various levels of punishment depending on the circumstances of your charge.
• Wrongful Death
  The Trible family goes back over 300 years in the Middle Peninsula, Essex County and the Northern Neck, so Mr. Trible has a good understanding of the problems faced by the people in our area. Mr. Trible has practiced law in Tappahannock since 2003 and primarily focuses his practice on traffic and criminal defense, handling matters ranging from traffic tickets, trials in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts and General District Courts, to felony trials in the Circuit Court. He also maintains a healthy personal injury practice, to include car accidents, wrongful death and catastrophic injury, and offers free initial consultations in any area.   I had a pretty bad driving record. I had a simple speeding ticket, but if I was convicted I would lose my job because I drive for a living. Mr. Trible successfully argued that the county deputy who ticketed me was not in his county when he got me on radar! The case was dismissed and I kept my job! Thank you!
• Misdemeanors
  Trible Law Offices are located in historic downtown Tappahannock within walking distance to all Essex County Courts. While we practice in all courts in Virginia, we primarily serve the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula areas. Many clients reach this page searching for an attorney for representation for a traffic infraction, speeding ticket or a charge of Reckless Driving (a class 1 misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $2,500 and a jail sentence of up to 1 year.)
• Assault
  Through a series of unfortunate, embarrassing events, I was charged with assault and battery and had a protective order filed against me. Mr. Trible was able to work with the prosecutor and have the case dismissed and the protective order removed before a trial date was set.

  Prior to the formation of Trible Law Offices, Mr. Trible was in private practice and also acted as a resident managing attorney for one of Virginia’s largest personal injury firms. He began his legal career as Staff Attorney and Policy Analyst for the Virginia State Crime Commission, a criminal justice agency within the Virginia General Assembly. Mr. Trible researched, wrote and reported on legislation related to criminal and legal matters proposed by members of the Virginia General Assembly and in the Virginia House and Senate Courts of Justice Committees. In that capacity he advised members of the Virginia Legislature on the constitutionality and legal ramifications of proposed legislation.
