SMT put together a team committed to providing contract precision CNC machining and assembly to some of the finest names in aerospace, medical and high-tech commercial industries in the United States. Its success during the past 13 years has enabled the company to grow from five employees and less than $300,000 in sales in 1983 to more than 80 employees and more than $8 million in sales for 1998. Its 20,000-square-foot, fully air-conditioned plant, adjacent to Tampa International Airport in Tampa, Fla., was built with room for expansion and houses state-of-the-art CNC equipment.
