Each is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in their area of practice. Mr. Silver is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience. He has handled and tried complex personal injury cases, served as a mediator, expert witness and lectured throughout the State of Florida. His partner, Cathy Agacinski has been practicing since 1992. She specializes in workers compensation, and, additionally, she has substantial experience in personal injury litigation. She has prevailed over the insurance companies and their lawyers in countless workers compensation trials. Her reputation of never backing down and fighting for her client's rights is well known throughout the community. Working as a team, Silver & Agacinski combine their knowledge and skills to maximize each client's result, whether it be by settlement or trial. This comprehensive approach assures the Firm's clients of the best representation available. At Silver & Agacinski the practice of law is more than just a business. They believe that their clients are entitled to straight talk from their attorney about their case. Their office, a beautifully restored turn of the century house, is conveniently located just outside downtown Tampa in North Hyde Park. The office has ample parking and is wheelchair accessible. In Florida all attorneys are permitted to advertise their services, but, only attorneys certified by the Florida Bar are allowed to identify themselves as "Florida Bar Board Certified" or as a "specialist" in their field. Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys. Before being permitted to sit for the certification exam the applicant must first demonstrate that he/she has substantial trial experience. The applicant must then sit for a written test. If the applicant passes the written test, the Florida Bar then conducts a vigorous screening process whereby inquiries are confidentially sent to qualified attorneys and judges to comment on the applicant's skills, knowledge, demeanor and ethics. Only after the entire process is complete is the decision made whether or not to grant Board Certification. Additionally, Certification is only for five years. The attorney must re-apply every five (5 ) years and re-establish, each time, that they are continuing to practice at that required level of professionalism. Accordingly, you can be assured that a Board Certified attorney has the knowledge and trial experience that you deserve. Insiders know that insurance companies factor in the quality of your lawyer when they evaluate cases. Most importantly, is your lawyer a qualified trial attorney who can competently try your case?
