This rental company is horrible. A big scam. They advertise that they are in in airport. Which is a lie. Had to wait a half hour for the shuttle to come get us after we had to call them to tell them. Upon my return two weeks later they were not open to recieve the rental. I had to go to a different place and pay a one day storage which i was not told about when i first rented the car. The "manager" DESMOND... was extremely extremely rude and condescending. I asked for the corporate office number and he gave me a number which mailbox was full. Tried to call back and he never answered the phone. Then the calls never went through. SMH.. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! NOT AT ALL!!

This rental company SUCKS! They think they are pros at the old "bait and switch". IT took them 45 minutes to pick us up at the airport, then they tried to charge us $1000 (!!!!) for insurance because we didn't bring proof of insurance. WHo carries that with them - been renting cars for 45 years and have never had to! Argued with them, then found in the contract that it is $18.95/day. Ended up paying that....had no choice at that point. THen the $250 deposit... never had to do that before. Then the toll scam - we didn't opt for that and never had an issue, all toll booths we went through took cash.



The 2 guys that drove the shuttle were very nice.



It's been 2 weeks and we are still waiting for our $250 deposit - calling our credit card company to deal with it.



DO NOT USE RENT MAX!!!



I am pretty sure the 5 star reviews are fake.

This company will rip you off. Their advertised price on this site is far more than half of what you actually pay after they sneak in the insurance and toll scam after. We were told most roads don't accept cash at the tolls so in order to avoid a fine we would need to purchase the $9/day option. Complete lie! All tolls we passed accepted cash. Then the car was overheating the entire time. I would have just discussed this with the manager but he never bothered to call us back after many requests.
