I love Dr. Hong and the Northdale animal hospital staff! My family and I have used him for as long as I can remember. He has all ways treated us with kindness and like family. From getting yearly shots to taking tumors out. He has helped all my dogs we would be lost with out him.

I would just like to take a moment to say how pleased I was with the service I received recently at Northdale Animal Hospital. My cat is not the best in temperament when it comes to going anywhere outside the house. But Dr.Hong and his staff didn't mind and worked very well with her to do what needed to be done. There was no demand to sedate her to draw blood or run any test on her which was very nice and the results were quickly returned and discussed clearly with me so I was able to understand the diagnoses and treatment options. I will definitely be bringing her back to him.

I was sick with the flu when my Yorkie started to limp. I was too ill to take her in, so a vet tech came to my home, picked her up, and returned her several hours later with meds and instructions. She was better before I was! Great, caring service!

Just to start off you already see 5 stars, reason being is Dr. Hong deserves it. I have a 7 year old American bulldog "Pearl" who had a chronic ear infection. It was horrible..I have been to a local vet in the area and received very little info and the ear solution did nothing for her. When visiting Dr. Hong for her chronic ear infection all i can say is, it's 18 days after my visit and her meds and her ear is like as if nothing happened.. Dr. Hong is awesome, hands down the best animal hospital around.

Maybe the Guest below arrived on an off day where the Dr. had already left. If there are no appointments later in the day his staff is sometimes there without him. They close at 6 but in my personal experience Dr. Hong has stayed later than he had to (even after they closed) to attend to my pets & has even made house calls. I never have to remind him of my pets' names, he remembers them & seems genuinely happy to see them. His prices are the most reasonable I've found for the quality of his work. He ensures that you don't spend more than you have to by giving you options & basing his conclusions on tests and drawing from many years of experience. He is the best vet I've ever been to & trust that I have been to too many. The one thing I don't like is that he seems impatient & a bit insensitive with his staff (3 nice, smart, polite girls) which sometimes creates a tense atmosphere. Overall I would recommend him to anyone; I drive an hour to get there & back. -8yr customer

To The "Guest" who wrote "the stray isn't profitable" and "they care more about being out the door at 5pm", you are wrong!!! Did it ever occur to you that people will leave stray animals on his doorstep and in his waiting room and don't return to pay the bill!! Dont get me wrong im an animal lover too but when I find a stray and Dr. Hong isn't open I am forced to go to an EMERGENY CLINIC and they make you sign the animal over or you'll have to pay the bill, and when you sign the stray over, they euthenize. Dr. Hong doesn't have the capabilities & resources that an ACTUAL EMERGENCY clinic does! Dr. Hong is an incredible, sensible doctor whose been a Vet for over 20yrs. Dr. Hong is compassionate towards my pets, his prices are VERY competitive and i trust only Dr. Hong to take care of my pets because he has THEIR best interest at heart! My whole family has been customer's since before I was born and we are grateful to Dr. Hong and we are loyal customers for years and years to come!!!!!!!

Dr Hong is a remarkable veterinarian besides being a warm and compassionate person. His sound decisions are always based on test results, his skills and solid common sense. From the first time I took my two high-strung Bengal cats to him, I knew it was luck to find this wonderful doctor! My cats immediately felt comfortable because he handled them with gentleness. When we recently lost a family pet, there was real compassion. I've had the services of many veterinarians in my lifetime and their is none better than him. They would rather be out the door at 5 pm than treat a suffering wounded animal. I was turned away and told to go elsewhere and I believe it is because the animal was a stray and therfore wouldn't be profitable to them. I went somewhere much further away with the animal suffering all the way there but at least it was accepted with open arms and I hope it is at peace now, whatever that peace is...
