By home owner Complaint: Dishonest building contractor did not pay any of his subs even as he was given %60 of the money before project even started. Homeowner scammed.I contracted Impressive Home Inc/ Michael Vann to build supervised and complete my room addition. Total cost $27,000.00 The contract was signed by Mr. Vann and Myself on 7/31/2012. Per his contract payment schedule 30% deposit on signing, 30% at commencement of work and 40% at completion and approval of work. Mr Vann owner Director of Impressive Home Inc receive $8,100.00 on signing 07/31/2012 and another $8,100.00 on commencement of work 9/25/2012. Mr Vann has only done the site preparation, lay concrete slab, part of the plumbing and outside framing. The it was brought to my attention by the pretreat company he has given them a bounce check. I then contacted Mr Vann and was told he will take care of it. After this incident I receive a notice on 10/26/12 from the guy's who poured the concrete. I contacted him again and was told the guys didn't do a good Job in the laying of the concrete and they had refused to fix same. In lieu of that he was going to take it to his lawyers. It was not long after this incident I begin to receive other notices from the company supplying the concrete, the company supplying the steel, the framing company and the plumber that they did not receive any payment from Mr. Vann and was about to put liens on my property. I contacted Mr. Vann and was told he was going to take care of it. I asked for a schedule time of project completion and was given an end date of 11/20 with no delays and end date of 12/10 none of these deadlines were met. Mr Vann in continued his correspondent saying he will pay even told the subs he was still awaiting funds from me to be able to pay to which that was incorrect. I had two of the companies placing liens on my property me having to pay the outstanding fees and to have liens removed. I have tried contacting him and his response was use the remaining funds to pay the outstanding when he has not completed the project. Mr Vann left all the debris from the site preparation in my back yard to which I had to pay extra money to have the debris removed. Mr. Vann has lied and scammed my family out of our hard earned money. I hope he does not get a chance to do this to someone else. Mr Vann/ Impressive home Inc should not be able to do any business again..I have noticed he tried advertising as doing business cards and other printing please beware.
