What a deal the 1 year protection plan I was offered by Hudson Furniture is! The couch and love seat that I purchased is beautiful and accents my home perfectly! I highly recommend Hudson Furniture to anyone looking to buy furniture in central Florida.

Please do not shop here. This was the most horrific scam furniture store of lies and decit I have ever dealt with. They burned us for several thousand dollars on items that were supposedly in stock but we're not and became "no refund" Special orders. Please stay away.

Purchased from Clearwater store. We were guaranteed our new living room furniture would be delivered in 6-8 weeks. We ordered on 10/28 which gave them 8 weeks and 2 days. Well, after numerous phone calls, we were told today 12/15 that our furniture would not be delivered until the first week of January!!! Now we have no living room furniture for our family coming for Christmas ! This same thing happened last year to a friend of mine too! If you want furniture delivered by Christmas, order it in August OR better yet go someplace else!

Lied about delivery dates of "in stock" items (dining room chairs) to get me to make down payment. When I cancelled 3 days later because they couldn't meet promised delivery before Thanksgiving, they kept 100% of my money by claiming "special order" & called me a liar! This company stole $500 from me & now we have no chairs to sit in for Thanksgiving dinner to boot. Horrible company. I was told they filed for bankruptcy a while back & are under new management. Evidently, this is their standard trick they play on everyone. Used to be a great furniture store - not any more. Buyer beware.

Love the product. Serice was awful. Bruce B Down location. Jennifer was great but every one else, Including the manager was awful. Phone calls not returned. They misplaced order 3 times. Was to get a $100 refund. Called 5 times. Was finally told to return item and they would make the return. 3 months still no refund. Plus now they have no record of approving credit! I would find items and order from someone else.

Stay away from this place. Took 8 months to get a couch delivered! The sales rep and managers constantly lied about the delivery date and refused to give us our money back. It was a complete nightmare to deal with this place. And now we are just receiving mystery charges for $500 of "in store purchases" that never happened. Should never have to contemplate consulting a lawyer for buying a couch! many many other better options in Tampa to buy furniture. just read other reviews online about this place.

This may be premature, but so far, my experience with Hudson's has been fantastic. I had a salesperson who was very helpful, and very patient and accommodating. I've been in the store twice in the last 4 days, and I have had all my questions, concerns and requests promptly answered. Thus far, I have no complaints whatsoever; and I was able to find everything I needed there.



That being said, I have not yet received my purchased furniture because I'm not due to receive it until the end of May. I don't know if it will indeed arrive on time, or what condition it may be in when it does. It is my hope that both things will end well, of course. At this time, however, my experience with Hudson's has been all positive; and hopefully will remain so. And, based on that, I would recommend them highly.



When the time comes for me to receive my furniture, and if it arrives in the expected good condition, I will follow up with a full and favorable review. If not, then I will return with a full and unfavorable update to this review. I, too, have dealt with "Rooms to Go" in the past, and it was nightmare that I hope doesn't repeat itself with Hudson's. What began as a very pleasant ...

What began as a very pleasant experience, quickly changed my mind towards the end. I visited The Hudson's Furniture in Tampa and as soon as I entered, a young sales girl approached me right away. I had a very specific piece of furniture that I needed, and she patiently listened and was very eager to try and assist me in finding exactly what I needed. After an intent search in the store, I was unable to find what I was looking for. She took the time to pull out a book, in which she thought I may find several more options to choose from. I was able to find 3 different choices. While we sat and browsed, I could not help to overhear a phone conversation being had at a desk very close by us. The man speaking on the phone, in which I later did find out was the store manager, was loudly speaking of my sales girl and some apparent mistakes that she may have made. I could not have felt more sorry for the girl. She could obviously hear this conversation as well and I could see the embarrassment she was feeling. Being in the sales industry for over 20 years, I have seen this behavior many times. I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and rudeness displayed by a manager, who could have very well taken the phone call somewhere else. In this review, I would have offered a 5 star rating for the customer service I received from the sales girl, but being that this is a store based review, they are lucky I am even offering 1 star.

Don't buy anything from Hudson's

Don't buy anything from Hudson's. Once they have your money they don't want to deal with you any more. They won't even come to the phone. I ordered a home theater electric reclining couch from Berkline through Hudson's in October 2008. Cost $5000. When it came in, 2 out of the 4 recliners didn't work and 2 had tears in the leather. I wanted my money back. They refused. I offered them $500 to take it back plus I would buy another couch off their showroom floor. They refused but said they would fix it. Well it is now Feb 24th 2009 and after many many phone calls it still is not fixed. Berkline is no help they say I have to deal with Hudson's. Berkline said they get a ton of complaints about Hudson's though. Avoid Hudson's and Berkline like your life depends on it. If you buy anything from either one of these companies you will be sorry. It's to late for me but save yourself.
