This place has a relaxing enviroment while the food taste is beyond most..

I want to love this place...I really do. Not only is it right around the corner from our house, but it's charming and comfortable at first glance. Front Porch Grille is an old Victorian House that was converted into a neat little restaurant. The first time we went in, we thought it was kitschy and fun. The furniture is all mix-matched, as are the plates, glasses and silverware. Very eclectic and cute. That's where the fun ends folks. The service is pretty bad. Our server (on two occassions) did not seem to know any menu items or the types of drinks available. And we had to track her down to get a simple refill for water. The silverware, while ecclectic, was very dirty both times we visited. Also, the food quality was not really the best. We ordered two entrees our first go round and paid waaay too much for steak and chicken. You would have though we had entered Bern's Steakhouse for these prices. The quality was definitely not there. Our second visit was even worse. D-
