Company's first agenda is to get your money for 1/2 payment. Requested a 1 day- 2 man job of a pergola and told it would be done right away. A week went by and had to call constantly to get a time line to start. Had to ask 5 times for a receipt for our upfront payment.
1 person showed up a week later with no materials and worked a half day, and left. Returned the next day with a supposed helper and spent all day accomplishing almost nothing. Third day was the same, and left half done with the structure being smaller than what we paid for. They haven't returned. No one came to ever see the progress. We called and the voicemail is constantly filled so can't leave a message. Emails ignored. Now in third week, waiting for the foreman to come see what's going on. Still not done. Company messed up every step of the way. Will never use their services again. What a shame! They have ruined our experience and we may have to get someone else to finish the job.

Dave Hetrick and his team of professionals design and deliver a very high quality product at a fair price. Dave sat down with us and explained the options for building a pergola on our existing wooden deck. His final design fit perfectly with our deck and backyard landscaping. Justin and Kevin did a great job building the pergola. Their workmanship was excellent and we are very pleased with the final product.

David and his staff were outstanding to work with. Upon meeting David he allowed me to show him what our vision was, but also provided essential information in the design process to help create a product that would meet our needs. His staff was on time and did an exceptional job during the construction process. The final product was outstanding and truly exceeded our expectations. Upon departure the crew thoroughly cleaned and picked up after themselves and left with the backyard looking perfect...Would definitely use Exterior Concepts again and would highly recommend others to use them as well.

The title says it all. David is an artist and produces a beautiful sculptured haven in your outdoor space making it magical and enchanting every single day. A place of serenity and peace. Your safe place that you can relax and enjoy year round. We have been customers for 4 years now and have given Dave many referrals. Over the years his work is still in excellent condition and has held up to the severe weather conditions in Tampa, Florida. We won Yard of the Month in our Seminole Heights community and were on the Home Tour too. Dave has installed shade structures, decks and balconies for us. He did our fire pit and located it in an area where we can experience the beauty that surrounds us in our backyard. His imagination is endless. Dave took an aboveground pool that was dropped into a deck and turned it into a split level outdoor kitchen with a four sided fireplace and benches that you can sit on with built in planters for plants and flowers. He built a bar on the other side of the outdoor kitchen where we can engage in conversation with our guests while eating and drinking and enjoy the view which overlooks the Hillsborough River. Dave also relocated our spa so we have a 210 degree view of the river and our entire backyard. Location of the different vignettes he created is key in making our outdoor space an ongoing experience. His work is outstanding. His work has added emotional satisfaction and has increased our real estate value tremendously. Dave is your guy to beautify your yard and garden. We were extremely pleased with the work David and his crew did. Our pergola came out better than expected, and we have been amazed at how it transformed our backyard. We use that space much more now, and are looking forward to having Exterior Concepts work on some additional back yard projects. Fabulous Work! Our waterfall is the main attraction and the workmanship is outstanding! The crew was polite, professional and very courteous as they worked to create the waterfall. Great company if you are looking for good work and creative ideas!

We put a new deck in and Exterior Concepts integrated lighting and also put new lighting in our backyard and on our deck. Really slick and professional job. We would highly recommend them!

My back yard was a major slope collecting water at the bottom that tadpoles started forming. Dave's concept of a patio and gazebo was a great addition. We didn't stop there. On the hilltop he built a huge firepit we use for ambience or have a nice pig roast. He drew a water fall plan in between the hillside and gazebo , the stand out piece that was eye appealing and very relaxing. The best idea was to build a pond at the bottom of the fall but fill it in with rocks. I have two large oaks in the yard and I would constantly be removing leaves, mold, and other problems that goes with ponds. I couldn't be more happier. It's very maintenance free and all my friends say it reminiscent of a busch gardens attraction. The best part of the plan is the care free tropical plants that bring the colors out of the landscape. I have an area that I have now enjoyed for four years without worry. Thanks Dave.

David Hetrick of Exterior Concepts did a great job of designing and transforming our backyard - we originally had an old paver patio and a wooden bridge over a koi pond. David designed our 800+ sq. ft. travertine patio, natural gas firepit, travertine bridge, and lighting. Then he used his artist eye to pick out appropriate plantings to transform our back yard into a beautiful outdoor living space. All of our friends are like wow!! Who did this? I would highly recommend David and his crew to anyone who wants to upgrade their outdoor living area. The job was completed in a timely manner, the price was reasonable, and every aspect of the project was completed before David's crew left.
