Carrollwood Day School is a private, independent, coeducational school offering educational instruction to students from grades one through 11. Founded in 1981 as an early childhood center, the school is approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization as a candidate school for the middle years program. It offers classes in fine arts, Spanish, English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, art, computers, drama, French, forensics, health and fitness, instrumental orchestra, music, and musical production. It provides various extracurricular activities, and has athletic teams for different sports, including volleyball, soccer, cross country, boys basketball, cheerleading, girls basketball, softball, tennis, and track and field. Carrollwood Day School is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools, and is located in Odessa, Fla.
