The Academy Prep Center of Tampa, a division of Academy Prep Foundation, provides free college-preparatory education in grades five through eight. Founded in 2003, the academy offers a range of academic courses and enrichment activities along with emotional support and social guidance. The Academy Prep Center of Tampa provides student the opportunities to participate in chess, karate and debate competitions. Its curriculum is based upon Sunshine State standards and specializes in subjects, such as mathematics and language arts. The academy also organizes after-school activities, community service campaigns and museum trips. The Academy Prep Center of Tampa is located in Tampa, Fla.
