My recent experience to fix my transmission at Mantrans was more than worth it. I have a G8GT and if you're a car guy reading this, you know that it has the L76 big-block engine. This is a car enthusiast machine so when my transmission codes came flashing on my warning screen, I knew it was major with 130,000 miles on the car. Then the dealer where I purchased the car said it was not worth fixing. I then thought of perhaps fixing it with Mantrans which turned out to be the best option. The service I got there was outstanding within 5 days they drove the car back to my home. Outstanding services would recommend it for others.

Ordered a transmission for a 2010 Chevy HHG in June 2017. Finally got shipped in mid-August 2017. Shop mechanic installed first of September 2017.Transmission would not shift and put in for an RMA and had to buy another transmission from another vendor - worked like a charm and I received it within 3 days. Took these guys all the way until December 2017 to even arrange for pick up after several calls. I inquiried about my refund two weeks later and was told their accountant was processing. In January 2018, he was still processing. In February, he was still processing. Spoke to Cindy in May 2018 (wonderful customer service!!) and she put me through to Donna who had been putting my check inn the mail since then and it's now October 2018. I'm trying not t have to hire an attorney, but at this point I may have no choice. Sorry to see this happen as our company had previously done business with them without any complications. I will not use them again.

I have had the same experience another gentleman has had with this company. Back in March 2018 I contracted with mt to build a transmission for my son’s mustang. They gave me all kinds of assurances about their ability. After a month I started calling them weekly about the status. No one in the company never knows what’s going on, the owner is altra sensitive and will refuse to talk to you when you show frustration with their lies. After two months going back and forth with them they finally gave me a shipping number. When I found out it was a bogus shipping number I finally ask for my money back. It’s a few days before July, 2018 and I still have not gotten my money or a transmission. They did email me a receipt for credit back to my card, however the receipt had no credit authorization code so I never received money. This is the type of games they play, bogus shipping numbers and bogus credit receipts. My next step is to report them to Florida’s AG office and law suit. Don’t send this company any money until you get legitimate shipping number. As a matter of fact I would not think of doing business with them. Run very fast and find another company to source your transmission needs. The positive reviews I have to assume are family members and close friends, based on my experience with them. In the five months I have been in correspondence with them I don’t think they told the truth about anything. First rate company’s own their mistakes and don’t keep customers money. Third rate company’s blame the customer don’t take responsibility and keep your money without delivering product.

On March 30,2018 I paid Man Trans LLC of Florida for an NV4500 manual transmission for my 1984 Toyota Landcruiser. The transmission was being built by Man Trans, LLC and was to be shipped upon completion. The invoice was paid on March 30, 2018 in full for the amount of $1,625 for delivery in 2 weeks or less as promised by Darrell Moore, the owner, as he stated. As of today, May 27, 2018, Man Trans has failed to deliver anything but excuses. I have asked for a refund due to the fact that it's taking over two months from the point that we started the conversation. In that two months, I have exchanged emails back and forth checking on the progress of the build but have only been met with excuses and zero product delivered. As of May 15, 2018, Mr. Moore sent a receipt of refund. However, the refund has not been batched which means that Man Trans is holding the refund and refuses to release it. I have reached out to their credit card processor, Elavon, as well as my bank, whom both have confirmed that no refunds have been made to the credit card that I made the payment. I have already disputed the charge on my credit card, but have yet to receive any monies. Mr. Moore now refuses to talk to me on the phone when I attempt to check on the status of the refund. The front desk personnel that I've spoken with state "it takes up to 30 days for a refund - talk to your bank - it's not us" as if they are used to these things happening. They will call me a liar and everything but a human being - they already have.. I have the proof of all of our correspondence and the transaction history
