      Located in University Place, Wash., Pierce County Water Programs is a division that is operated by the by the county s public works and utilities department. The water division is a responsive service organization that offers flood control, water quality management and preservation of natural drainage systems. Its program services section provides environmental planning, regulatory compliance, communications, and natural resource assessment and management services in support of water programs. Its construction, maintenance, rivers and quarry section offers various services, such as controlling flooding emergencies, serving maintenance needs, maintaining existing levels of flood protection through routine maintenance and repairing storm and flood control facilities throughout Pierce County in Washington.
