      Land Design Alternatives is a full-service landscape architectural practice with a 25 year history of creating comfortable outdoor spaces to match their client's lifestyle and invite them to live in their yards. The company's experience and reputation are primarily linked to custom residential design. Established in 1983, LDA has been responsible for providing outstanding landscape design services on both East and West Coasts. LDA can provide master plans, construction documents, material selection and consultation services that stress personal attention to the unique needs of each client and emphasize getting the details right. The firm specializes in working with existing site conditions and difficult sites in ways that minimize the impact on the local environment as well as the cost to the client. The corporate philosophy has long included the use of sustainable design practices, xeriscapes and eco-friendly materials when possible. Whether it is creating a garden on a rocky beach, fitting an entertainment area into a small backyard, or hanging a pool from a hillside, LDA will design the best landscape possible for any given site. When necessary to insure a cohesive result for the client LDA develops a working relationship between adjunct professionals, creating a multi-disciplinary approach to design with cooperation and collaboration between architects, engineers, interior designers, and builders. "Our clients are the boss, " says principal landscape architect Cliff Jones. "They hire us to create a livable landscape for them, to do what we know best. But ultimately our job is to give them the best design we can that matches their dreams".
