My husband and I had dinner at the Scotch on Dec. 23rd with another couple. 3 out of 4 dinners were cold seafood that was not cooked properly and centers too rare. Plates looked sparse with a vegetable only served with the dinner that was a special. Others had to order a veg. as an extra side dish. We were very disappointed and won't be returning any time soon.

A family favorite! The Scotch is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. The classic menu in the main dining room offers savory selections of chicken, seafood and especially beef. The sides are awesome and the salad bar is so fresh. The menu on the Bistro side is updated and hip. The food is equally delicious and the bar atmosphere is fun and dynamic. We love cozying up to the open fireplace for cocktails! It's a staple in Syracuse!

My family and I ate on the bistro side and it was fantastic! The menu is great, and has something for everyone. We started with a cheese plate which was more than enough to share. My mother in law had the seafood mac & cheese, and she raved about it. My husband had some sort of pot roast stew in a bread bowl, which was delicious. I had the chopped salad topped with salmon, and loved it as well. The wines by the glass are reasonably priced and very good. The service was really good even though it was a busy night. I highly recommend.
Old school forsure...Pricey but a great salad bar helps...Nice staff...
