Renewal by Andersen did an outstanding job installing our Bow window including custom trim work. The crew has finished our first floor project and we hope to move on with second floor casement windows!

Solvay Glass installed my egress window without installing a drain as required per manufacturers instructions. Multiple reputable installers have looked at my egress window and agree Solvay Glass failed me on this install. Solvay Glass also failed to replace the broken cover that was still under manufactures warranty. I will NEVER recommend Solvay Glass for anything until they do the right thing to resolve these problems.

We recently bought new front doors from Solvay Glass. Unfortunately the salesman didn't really explain the glass in the doors very well and only used a computer program to represent the finished product. We were under the impression that any glass type could be used in any pattern and despite repeatedly talking about privacy concerns and pointing to the representative glass panels in front of us we weren't sold what we thought. When the doors were being installed we discovered that about 60% of the glass in the pattern was in fact clear glass. Dan our salesman came back out this time with a catalog that clearly showed which type of glass was installed in which patterns. If only we had seen this during the sales pitch. In short, we paid full price for doors that we feel were poorly represented to us and now will have pay more to get the glass we thought we ordered or live with what we didn't order. So if you buy doors from Solvay make sure you remember your Latin - caveat emptor.

Made appt and they didn't show up so I called almost 1/2 hr after appt time. They said someone left a voicemail stating we cancelled our appt. I didn't and they tried to blame it on my husband, but he didn't even know the name of the company. Then I rescheduled and they called the next day and left a voicemail but Saturdays are limited so there was no way to respond by the time I got the v.m. Low and behold appt time is here... and gone and no Solvay Glass...AGAIN! It's only Monday, 2 days later, so they should have called today to check the time and didn't guess a house full of windows including a bay window isn't important business in this economy! Wouldn't even give a 1* but can't submit without it.
