As other reviewers have noted, this is a great place to go for good beer and a wide variety of food. It can get pricey depending on what you order, but the food is first rate. Unlike many brewery/restaurants, the atmosphere is very nice, well lit, and no trace of that barn smell that can spoil a good brew pub. There is something for everyone on the menu, and the food is first rate. The service is prompt, and they can accommodate larger parties. Expect a wait on the weekends, and parking in the Armory Square area is always a dicey proposition. But the Empire makes it a worthwhile experience.

This place is awesome, so glad it's back! The beer is great, and the food is hard to beat. The menu is eclectic, favoring cajun, southwest and asian cuisine. They are happy to cater to the vegetarian and vegan crowd, with those options to be expanding soon.
