South Prairie Elementary School provides various learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers a variety of educational and extracurricular services to students. Its academic curriculum includes reading, math, science, social studies and language arts. South Prairie Elementary School enrolls more than 450 students annually and maintains over 20 classrooms. The school also administers the English Language Learners program. It also provides instructive classes in music, band, art and orchestra. South Prairie Elementary School also has a library and media center that includes a collection of books, resource materials and reference sets. The school maintains a staff of teachers, speech therapists, nurses, social workers and learning facilitators. Located in Sycamore, Ill., it is a part of Sycamore Community Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
