Great place to go for hibachi style Japanese. They also have really good sushi to. The place is huge so usually no need to make reservations. We try to come here at least once a month.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody after what happen to me. I asked my husband why dont you take me here for my Birthday we only have to pay for one meal per advertisement. We got to the restaurant and they said you need three people for the free dinner with your Birthday. Who in there right mind would bring a third party when your married and best of all we drove over thirty miles to get to this place.
Desaki is great. Went out to a late dinner on Friday night, and afterwards we decided to check out the night club. It was actually pretty sweet. Great time all around, from the food to the night life.
What an experience!! Desaki is such a great time, no matter what you are there for (food, drinks, or night life). I had the sushi, and it was terrific. Also, the portions are well worth the price!
Who knew a hibachi/sushi restaurant would have a dance club? What a cool idea! Took the family there last weekend and had a blast, the hibachi was the perfect way to wind down a busy week.

I had an amazing 21st birthday thanks to the event planning staff at Desaki. The food was sooooo good, and the service was top notch. Thank you!

Thank you for hosting our Presentation and Celebration for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates this evening. Everyone had a great time and the service was impeccable. Thank you to your special event coordinator Christina for a job well done!

This was my second time back to Desaki and I was not disappointed. The building is beautiful, the staff friendly and the food was excellent. They even had a magician who made balloon sculptures and family dancing. Next visit to the Poconos I will be eating here again.

We just returned for a trip to the Poconos and Desaki was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. They provided a free shuttle from our hotel which was really nice. We were able to have drinks and not worry about driving. While I agree with other reviewers, this place is pretty pricey, the food is excellent. Also, the show that the chef puts on is fantastic and definitely not tacky like others have said. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back when we are in the Poconos again.

We just recently moved to the area from Denver and decided to try Desaki. My family and I love to eat out and we're always looking for something new and different. Well, we found it here. The building is an architectural marvel, just beautiful. With the fire and flashing lights (not to mention a disco ball)it's sensory overload in the best way. We went on a Saturday and had a small wait, which was no problem as there was a magician making balloon sculptures, the kids (and my wife) loved it. We were seated with another family, which was nice as we love to meet new people. The server was very funny and attentive, as was the chef (Mickey Blue Eyes). The food was plentiful and very good. (We have been to many hibachis and sometimes the food is bland.) Desaki is one of a kind, and we will most certainly be back.

The building is beautiful, and gave a great first impression. Sushi is my weakness, so we opted for sushi and cocktails. The server was very knowledgeable, which was refreshing. We told her what we liked and she had some great suggestions. I've had a lot of Sushi all over the world and this was definately some of the best. The fish was fresh and the presentation was outstanding. The pricing was a bit on the high side, but considering they are in the middle of the mountains, this is certainly understandable. Great atmosphere, great service, great sushi, great time.
Absolutely horrible. The place has no class, the workers up to the management and owner are rude. Food is disgusting, I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Even if you are ordering drinks and bottles you will be asked to leave your table, trust me though they will wait untill your check is paid and there is a tip. HA They try to make the place seem like an upscale restaurant however it is a low class trashy place.
Show is wonderful, the food, i can say that i had better at the Rockaway mall hibachi. Great decor, love the sushi
