AVOID THIS VENUE. My family rented this venue (3-7-15) for an event and it was absolutely filthy the morning of the event. We spent the first two hours of set-up cleaning the venue. Mr. Gordon (the manager) saw the state that the building was in and when it was brought to his attention, he was offended and sarcastically communicated that he couldn't catch everything! My family and I mopped, swept, vacuumed, wiped down tables and cleaned the bathrooms in order to ensure that our guests didn't arrive to filth.

The Tuesday after the event, Mr. Gordon called my father (whom was out of town) to mop the kitchen floor and to remove a podium and an empty trashcan. My father communicated that he could not get there and that he didn't have anyone that he could call. He was told that he could not get his deposit back and my father (out of frustration) told him to keep it because he couldn't get there. My father also reminded him of the work that we put in in order to utilize the venue. When I found out, I confronted Mr. Gordon with the fact that the club was filthy when we got it and was left it in a MUCH BETTER condition than we found it, he communicated that we could have refused it! REALLY, THE MORNING OF THE EVENT, WITH GUESTS ARRIVING FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD?! I think NOT!

Overall, I am very disappointed with Mr. Gordan’s non-professional attitude. Although I have resolved that we’ve lost our deposit, I find solace in the fact the he will reap what was sown.
