Located in the center of historic Sumpter, our motel offers the traveler a glimpse of the roaring days of rich gold and logging histories. The Stockade is a recreation of a fort circa 1860's to 1880's - with all the modern amenities. Our unique rooms recall the heydays of the narrow gauge railroad and gold dredging along the nearby river. All seasons activities including flea markets, snowmobiling, community bonfires, Christmas train rides and parade, as well as excellent fishing, hunting and hundreds of mile of ATV trails to explore in the local lnational forests. Don't be surprised by a doe and fawns at your door in the morning.
