Summit High School is a four-year public high school that enrolls more than 950 students and is operated by Summit Public Schools. Located in Summit, N.J., the high school s academic curriculum includes English, history, mathematics, science, foreign languages, art, music and industrial technology. It provides a variety of athletic activities, such as cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, golf, swimming, track, baseball and lacrosse. The school offers various extracurricular activities and student organizations, including jazz band, chorus, orchestra, choir, student council, and drama, book, French and newspaper clubs. Its library has more than 17,000 volumes, over 120 periodicals and access to a variety of research database systems. Summit High School is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
