Knightsville Elementary School, also known as KES, offers learning opportunities to more than 1,000 students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, social studies, science, and language and fine arts. The school provides the Title I program. It also offers special education classes for students with developmental difficulties. Knightsville Elementary School operates a library media center. The school has a parent-teacher association. Its extracurricular activities include band. The school is a recipient of the South Carolina Exemplary Reading Award. Knightsville Elementary School is a part of the Dorchester School District Two, which enrolls more than 21,780 students in several elementary, middle and high schools.
