Great food... Great service ... crowded but what does that tell you....

I went to Babs after it was recommended by another business. It was crowded and there were long tables that people were able to share, but that is just the atmosphere. My wife and I decided to share an order of corned beef hash, which was excellent. the waiter told us that if there was not enough to feed the two of us that he would have the cook throw down more. It was enough, though. We will go back.

Don't count on friendly service. Their attitude is that they're doing you a favor by serving you. It's always been that way. The owner and manager always set the tone for the employees don't forget. We eat there because the breakfast is very good . It's by the water, it's very crowded. We always have to wait, so that's expected. The owner and staff know they serve a good product and that the crowds will come, so they really don't care if you're one of the crowd or not. That's just the way it is..just ask Bab.

It took us two years to get there we had been invited before was never able to go.Our experience there was horrible.We had to share a table with other people.We ordered our food and my food was horrible and I told the waitress I did not like it and she looked very afraid and left the table.When we were to leave I told the cashier that the lady had charged me for that item and she in turned got the manager.the manager came over with this rude attitude and said well you ordered it and I cant give out free food.Thats not the question I had.She told me yes I do have to pay for it and I told her why should I pay for something I did not eat she told me that she had been there for so many years and she never heard of a restaurant correcting the bill.I told her that I was going to report her she said I'll take care of the bill and for me to get out and don't come back. very poor service I have never experienced anything like that before.But believe me I'll never go back there .
