I love Garrads and have been going to Dwight for years. If you wonder if you are getting a great price then call around and see. Oil changes are a bit more, but he uses OEM parts which cost more. I have had mechanical issues with my 2005 Nissan 3 of which he diagnosed for free and instead of completing the repairs he sent me back to the dealer to see if the would repair for free. The dealer would not cover 2 of them because although these were known issue's with my vehicle a recall had not been placed. On the 3rd they charged me $180.00 for the diagnosis. (a fear tactic they use in hope's you won't get the diagnosis so they won't have to repair it). Know that when you go to Garrad's he is truthful, upfront and honest. I have been in his shop for repairs and hear him tell a customer that their car was not worth the repairs needed, unlike other mechanic's who would have bled them dry, without a 2nd thought.

Be careful on what this mechanic will warranty for the work. You may be told that they will fix it until they get it right but after my car was still not fixed and I complained, I was told to just pick up my vehicle. They should have said they would fix it until they get it right as long as it doesn't cost them any money. This mechanic upcharges for parts at a higher rate than others. You may be offered a free oil change after a few visits but just know that the amount you've overpaid for parts would have covered 4 oil changes! I ended up getting my car repaired for a bit more than half the cost I was quoted at Gerrards to fix something that they should have fixed for free! If you're on a budget then don't go to Gerrards. If you're expecting them to warranty or fix their errors then don't go to Gerrards. If you have lots of money to spend until they get it right, then go to Gerrards and spend away!!!
