- Prostate CancerHave you ever heard of a doctor donating a dollar to charity every time YOU come in for an appointment? Dr. Dairman does and is working to get other practices around the country to follow in his footsteps! 1Foot 2Foot donates $1 for every billable patient visit to select 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that are near and dear to our team. The more patients we see, the more money we donate. Patients are asked to choose a charity on our Goody2Shoes Donation Card at each visit designating where we will donate the dollar for their visit. Four local charities are selected by the 1Foot 2Foot Leadership Team at the beginning of each calendar year. Certain months are designated as single organization donation months and all dollars collected for billable patient visits during these months will be directed to that charity. As an example, the month of November is dedicated to honoring Bill Dairman (Dr. Dairman’s father) who lost his battle with prostate cancer – donations in November go to Zero the End of Prostate Cancer.

- UltrasoundOur Suffolk and Hampton foot and ankle specialists see heel pain patients every day. We go beyond the standard treatment and use advanced techniques, such as ultrasound guidance for steroid injections, to improve accuracy and reduce discomfort from the procedure.
- RadiologyDigital radiology has revolutionized podiatry care over the past decade. Digital x-rays allow our Suffolk, VA, podiatrists and our Hampton, VA, podiatrists at 1Foot 2Foot to take and magnify an image of your foot with crystal clear details. This enables our podiatrists to tell stress fractures apart from other abnormalities. It ensures a proper diagnosis of painful foot and ankle conditions with the ability to view the digital x-rays immediately in our podiatry office. We also use digital x-rays to monitor your foot’s structure on an ongoing basis in order to evaluate and treat any chronic foot conditions.

- Wound CareFor people with diabetes, seeking immediate treatment for sores on your feet can greatly diminish the chance of infection – and potential amputation. Suffolk foot doctor Dr. Dairman has undergone additional training in the areas of diabetic foot and ankle wounds and their related reconstruction, having spent two years during his residency rotating through Denver’s Diabetic Foot and Wound Center. His treatments were designed to emphasize limb salvage, reconstruction, and the overall prevention of diabetic-related disorders. - Bunion SurgeryTypically, bunion surgery is performed in an outpatient setting under sedation and takes about an hour. Most people can walk on the foot within 3 days with the use of a protective cast or shoe. The majority of our patients find themselves surprised to experience very little pain following surgery.
- BunionsOften, bunions develop from faulty foot mechanics that we inherit. Yes, you can thank someone in your family tree for passing down the foot structure that results in a bunion. Bunions are the result of an instability in your foot that allows one muscle to gain an advantage over another, causing the big toe to drift towards the smaller toes. Because many women’s shoes are narrow and often pointed, this further aggravates the problem.
- NeurosurgeryIn certain cases, surgery may be required. Nerve surgery is very delicate and should only be undertaken when conservative treatments have failed. Dr. Dairman, one of our award-winning foot doctors in Suffolk, North Suffolk, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, VA, has received specialized surgical training for peripheral nerve conditions caused by diabetic neuropathy and nerve entrapment syndromes.
- Toe SurgeryDr. Dariman did hammer toe surgery at Sentara Obici Hospital on April 3, 2015 and I could not be more pleased with the outcome and the care I have received from him and his staff. I would highly recommend him for your foot needs.
- Ingrown ToenailsYou notice that your big toe is a little sore and red around one side of the nail, but you brush it off. Perhaps you researched your symptoms and decide that you have an ingrown toenail. No big deal, right? Wrong. While many ingrown toenails resolve themselves or require little treatment, there are times when one can go from an annoying sore spot to a serious, even life-threatening infection. Many people with an ingrown toenail have turned to our podiatrists for ingrown nail treatment in Suffolk, North Suffolk, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, VA.
- Reconstructive SurgeryOur Suffolk foot and ankle specialists and Hampton foot and ankle specialists have extensive experience and training in ankle and foot reconstructive surgery. - CornsYou may feel that you’ve had hammertoes for many years and find that it doesn’t bother you. You may be unsure if anything can be done to improve the state of your feet. We have known patients who keep their toes covered due to feeling embarrassed or ashamed. Our award-winning foot and ankle specialists in Suffolk, North Suffolk, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, VA, have years of experience transforming feet using non-surgical or non-invasive treatment methods. These methods include professional trimming of corns and calluses, a recommendation for proper fitting shoes, splinting or strapping toes to help position them correctly, orthotics, or even medication.
- UlcerThe amputation rate for those in our SLAP program who have not had a prior ulcer or amputation is less than 1%.
- CallusesOur podiatrists diagnose and treat a variety of skin conditions affecting the foot including dermatitis, calluses, warts, and more. - Bunions ProblemsA bunion is that unsightly prominence at the base of your great toe that can make shoes uncomfortable and sandals an embarrassment. A bunion is a structural deformity where the underlying bones are misaligned — it’s not just a bump. Unfortunately, bunions progress as we get older — they never regress by themselves, and advertised splints are ineffective at actually correcting the problem.

- Geriatric Foot CareIt’s normal for people to experience foot pain as they age. Experts say that problems with feet can be the first sign of more serious medical conditions, particularly among older adults. Health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, nerve issues, and circulatory disorders may first manifest in your feet. As a senior citizen, you have a responsibility to yourself to keep your feet healthy so that as you age, you can still take part in the activities you love. It is important to pay attention to your feet and seek medical attention as soon as you notice any abnormal changes. Take a look at our report “The 5 Principles of Senior Foot Care” to see what will help you take better care of your feet.
