The outpatient speech therapists at Martin Health System are here to help you regain skills which will enable you to rebuild your confidence and quality of life. We are highly specialized and trained in the latest methods and techniques to help restore function and independence. "Vital Stim," a modality used to aid in swallowing therapy, is one such technique, as is "LSVT" which is a program to strengthen volume levels. These are two of the specialized programs we offer in our clinics. WHAT TO EXPECT On your first visit you will receive a comprehensive evaluation that will determine a specific speech program for you. Goals will be based on your needs. During the course of your treatment you will receive one-on-one personal therapy, education, a home treatment program, support and information for family members and caregivers.
