Woodland Unit 5 School operates various schools, such as high, junior high and elementary schools. Its parent-teacher association strengthens the parent-school relationship to promote children s academic, emotional and social development, as well as to create a greater sense of community within the school. Its library media center is an instructional support center for the students and staff and provides various resources and materials, such as literature references, journals, databases, magazines, dictionaries and Internet access to students. Additionally, it serves meals to the students. Its high school has various clubs and organizations, such as key, Spanish and art clubs, yearbook and the National Honor Society. Its elementary school offers an extensive curriculum, including mathematics, science, social study, reading and writing. Woodland Unit 5 School is located in Streator, Ill.
