Sail Inn Motel

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this motel. Wasn't bad, air conditioner didn't work well the first night very warm in room, reported this to the office they checked the unit said the temp was set to low to operate properly. Don't think 70 is to low! We did ask for another room the next day and they gave us a double instead of the king we paid for. Would rather have the air working I guess. It was better, but not the coolest. Motel room was clean, staff very nice, no night noise around that we heard. This motel is across the street from the lake, nice view easy to get in and out of driveway. We would probably try an different motel/hotel if we ever went back to Storm Lake. We have stayed in motels in other states that were nicer and cooler for what it cost us (or cheaper) for the 2 nights. here.

My family and I just spent Memorial weekend here and it was really great. It is under new ownership and the new owners sure know what they are doing. They did their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible. The prices were reasonable and their view was amazing. Right in front of the lake! Can't get better than that and we surely have our reservations for July 4th already!

Although this place is no five star nor high class, it is pretty awsome. I heard it just recently got under new ownership and managent so i headed there during a trip to storm lake to visit my family. The staffs were all very friendly and made us feel very comftorable. The hosuekeepers were also extremely kind in doing what we had asked. The view is amazing and the prices are reasonable. I plan on going back to storm lake in july and have already made my reservations for the Sail Inn Motel.

The staff was extremely friendly! Answering all my questions, very polite. always willing to help with anything I may need! I did read a prior review and asked all the question pertaining to the review and asked to see the rooms for myself to get a good idea before I accepted a stay! They willingly took me through there various rooms and responded to all the unpleasant things said about the motel! They did have a few rooms that were not exactly lovely but they explained how the rooms were for contractors who were staying for long periods of time! I would say the best rooms where 49-54, 51 and 54 having a great view of the lake which is were I stayed! The price was very reasonable! Especially with the view I got!
