I hired this contractor to complete a project this past spring. They started very strong and made me feel very confortable. After I made a substaintial payment for them to purschase materials and for upcoming work, I did not see them again. Multiple calls went unreturned. When I did catch the owner on the phone, he told me he was caught in a scheduling issue and would come back within a week. After chasing this guy for 2 months, I finally had to move on...losing a lot of money. After replacing the contractor, I found many problems. They drilled holes into 5 of my kitchen cabinets that did not align with the handles. The cabinet doors had to be replaced. They used brad nails to secure a handrail post into drywall. Obviously the post came lose after a gentle shake. A shower floor wasn't properly pitched and had to be completely re-tiled. The list goes on and on. I was extremely dissapointed with the contractor and will never use them again.

This contractor did not complete my project and more importantly did not complete work which was already paid for. If your shopping for a contractor, I am sure that you have heard about all of the dirty tricks that contracors play and this contractor does them all. He makes you feel comforatble with him, convinces you to write a big check and you'll never see him again. Buyer beware of this contractor!!!

When Rick first came round to give an estimate I was immediately impressed by his sound suggestions and clear wealth of experience working with historic houses. The work itself - an attic renovation - was completed in just a few days without any compromise on quality. The contractors were friendly and kept me informed along the way of their progress. I thank RK Builders for a professional and very efficient job, and would recommend them to anyone!-

I hired this contractor for a simple project which he started approximately three months ago but has not finished. It's about two thirds completed. He won't respond to my calls/messages even though he's been paid almost in full. If I could give him negative stars on this review I would!

I first hired RK Builders when I bought a 100+ year old home that needed a good deal of work done - electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc. I have had them back several times for additional projects, and each time they go above and beyond my expectations - and always on budget. The workers are friendly and courteous and the job site is always kept clean.
