Stone Mountain Middle is an educational institution that is a part of the DeKalb County School System, which operates various elementary, middle and high schools. Located in Stone Mountain, Ga., the school serves more than 900 students in grades six through eight. It operates language arts, science, social studies and math departments. It also provides education in French, Spanish, and family and consumer science. Stone Mountain Middle offers a range of sports activities, such as football, volleyball, cross country, swimming, wrestling and basketball. The school s library features over 14,000 books and is equipped with nearly 15 computers that provide Internet access. Its extracurricular activities include band, orchestra, art, chorus, music and physical education. In addition, Stone Mountain Middle operates a parent-teacher-student association and provides meals and transportation.
