Stokesdale Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in English, science, social studies, mathematics and language arts. Its curriculum also includes art, music, technology and physical education. Stokesdale Elementary School maintains a media center that stocks a variety of picture dictionaries, storybooks, puzzles, and fiction and nonfiction books. The school s parent-teacher association works to promote the welfare of students. The association provides membership options for after-school clubs, organizes world culture events and specializes in cultural arts and character education programs. Stokesdale Elementary School hosts several bookfairs, science fairs, basketball programs and curriculum nights.
