A regional agency, San Joaquin County Office of Education provides educational leadership, resources and services to more than 20 school districts in Northern California. Based in Stockton, SJCOE serves more than 50,000 parents, teachers, principals, and friends of teachers in Lodi, Roseville, Ripon, Linden, Tracy, Manteca, Natomas and Sacramento, Calif. The organization offers a wide variety of programs and services, such as advancement and individual determination solutions, assessment projects, preschool instructional networks, community-based health programs, early childhood education, and alternative, migrant and multilingual education programs. It also offers special services, including regional technical assistance centers, student events and activities, teacher development seminars, vocational training, foster youth services, and regional occupational centers and programs.
