Vernesa is a United States Army veteran who earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Gordon State College and a Master of Science in Nursing from South University. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board. Vernesa is a member of the American Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Oncology Nursing Society
