Carla was an excellent caregiver for my doggy. He stayed with her for the weekend and was healthy and clean when I picked him up. I can tell that he had a great time with her because he was hesitant to leave. I will definitely use her again in the future.

My 3 year old baby, Duke, has had the privilege of going to Heartthrob Kennels since September 1, 2012. Duke is in Carla's wonderful and trusting care Mondays through Thursdays, and also for some sleepover stays. I work long hours and Carla puts my worries at ease with her warming affection towards dogs. It truly is Duke's home away from home. Carla's home is clean, safe, and perfect for dogs to have lots of room to play. I know Duke loves going there when he can't contain himself in the car as we approach her home. Duke never likes to leave my side, so when he runs to her door, I know his stays are nothing short of amazing.

Thank you Carla for taking such good care of my baby boy Boots! I was within an hour of taking him to a kennel to be boarded for the weekend, where he would have been kept in a kennel or dog run for 3days with the exception of going out for 3 walks per day. My heart was heavy and I didn't want him "locked" up for 3days. I met Cassandra and she told me about you and the weight on my heart lifted tremendously when I called and you said you could take him for the weekend. He was in a safe and loving environment and had a ball playing with his new friends. I can't thank you enough for taking care of him like he was your own dog. He's my Boo Bear and I love him like he's my furry son and I appreciate you very much. Boots has now found a home away from home and will be a regular at your kennel. What a rare find! I had to go out of town on short notice and needed to find someone to care for my three boys (canine). I had never boarded them before and was not comfortable with putting them in a kennel. All 3 are rescue dogs and one is a mama’s boy who is very timid with people initially. I wanted them to be in more of a home setting like they are used to. After hearing about Heartthrob Kennel, I decided to contact them because I really liked the idea that the boys would be in a home setting with a family. I was so pleased to meet Carla and to find out about her knowledge and experience with dogs. I really liked the fact that she paid attention to detail about their habits and personalities. After I took the boys to meet Carla and saw how immediately comfortable they were with her, I knew I could board them there with ease. Within a couple of days Carla was able to keep them and I was able to go out of town knowing that they were in good hands. After I got back, I noticed that the boys were not beating down the door to get out of there. That is a good sign! My one dog Milkshake even seemed hesitant to leave Carla’s son. I received great pictures of them during their stay that also showed how comfortable they were. I will definitely use Heartthrob again. "I am so happy to have found Heartthrob Kennels and Karla - I have never boarded a dog before and I couldn't stand the thought of having to put my puppy in a concrete stall with a fence while I go out of town; with no one there to check on him. Karla loves those dogs and treats them like children and family. I can't wait for Bandit, my Blue Heeler puppy, to go there again. I have been recommending Karla to everyone I know that has a dog. Bandit is either worn out from playing so much with the other dogs or he is depressed for having to come home, because he has slept for two days!!! He had so much fun - I can tell. Karla at Heartthrob Kennels is truly a God send. I was scheduled to go out of town for 2 weeks in June. The person who was going to watch my son's new puppy Sheba, had not contacted me and I was left at the last moment with no pet sitter for Sheba. I located Karla's website on the internet and called Heartthrob Kennels and left a message. Karla called me later and upon explaining my situation to her, she immediately said she should not have a problem keeping Sheba. She was so very pleasant on the phone and I immediately felt a since of relief. Within less than a week's time, Karla and I had spoken on several occasions and shortly thereafter, my son and I were dropping Sheba off at Karla's. Sheba made herself at home immediately! Sheba had so much fun while at Karla's. When we picked Sheba up 2 weeks later, it was obvious that Sheba had a blast and had made some great new doggie friends. She also had gained a surrogate family as I could tell Karla's family had also fallen in love with Sheba! I am so very thankful to Karla and her family for taking care of our baby (Sheba). I have 3 dogs that are like children to me, and I have a hard time trusting anyone with them. However, Carla LOVES dogs and has truly made me feel comfortable during their stay at her kennel. From the updates by phone to the personal photographs she takes...it's very reassuring. My dogs seemed to be very happy when I picked them up, which speaks volumes to me.
