I contacted St. Croix Appliance to service my Kenmore washing machine. Doing my own research I determined the drain pump needed replacing; however, this being my first time tinkering with a washing machine, I wanted an expert opinion. They arrived on time...and that was the only positive I can list. It took 2 minutes for them to diagnose the cause. Drain pump as I expected. I asked how they came to that conclusion so quickly. The response, "when you do this for a living you just know". No testing, no diagnostics. They turned it on and listened to it! I was quoted $245 parts and labor. I asked the actual cost of the part to which the response was $150. I showed the gentlemen online that Sears sold the same part for $80. I asked why the markup. Response, "that’s just what I get it for". If I am paying you a service call, I would expect a more thorough diagnosis. At least test the drain pump. Additionally, be able to explain your costs. They very well could be substantiated but you should be able to speak intelligently as to "why". After all, you are the expert. I would not recommend this repair company.

Called at 10:30 on a Friday morning and they showed up @ 11:30! Repairman was friendly, courteous and totally OK with my kids running all over the house! For the price of most other repair companies diagnostic fee, I was able to get my dryer fixed! Thank you St. Croix Appliance Repair & Handyman Service! I will defiantly be recommending you and use again if needed!!

I found this via a Google search, which led me to DexKnows. Well, Dex doesn't know. The initial number on the banner is disconnected, so I did a new search and, interestingly enough, a different number came up on the same banner. That, too, is disconnected. What the heck?!!

Called around 11:30am for a dryer repair and he was at our house by 3:00pm. Reasonable rate and honest about troubleshooting the problem. I would definitely use them again!

They came out the same day and fixed our washer. Excellent service, great price.

I have a sixty year old electric stove that I love for its design. The oven stopped working. The solution was simple ( but nothing I would have figured out) and they did not charge me anything but the service fee. They were polite and good natured.

I had a leaking washing machine. They came out that day. It was fixed very quickly. The price was more reasonable than the last time I had my stove fixed. A++
