General Info

Who are we? We are a small rural family church that has nearly 60 years of ministry in the Appalachian foothills. We started as a church plant in 1968 and the Lord has blessed us with faithful pastors through the decades. We are a church in friendly cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention and hold the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our confession of faith. There are families in our church of many sorts (some go for four generations!) and our children are primarily in the under 5 years old range. What do our services look like? Our primary Sunday gathering begins at 11am and typically will be finished before 12:30pm. During our gatherings we pray together, sing songs of worship (both modern and ancient) to our God, and hear the Scripture preached expositionally. Our dress is informal, so please feel no need to get out your "Sunday best" unless that is your preference. You are welcome as you are. Our children (5th grade and below) remain in the service for the singing and prayer and go to a specially planned service of songs and teaching for their age groups.
