me and my boyfriends friends dined here yesterday and it was amazing.. the food was good and the service was awesome. everyone was so attentive and friendly.. my boyfriends friend got some like super plate of a mix of seafood and a women named Laura was extremely nice to us and so was our servers, James and Cristy.. they made our experience great.. plus our bill was payed for by a stranger.. and it was close to 90 bucks. :) overall, we all recommend this place. it was a good time !!!

I really hate that rule of an automatic gratuity for large parties. I took my daughter and her friends out for dinner for her birthday and there were eight of us. Our lead wait person (Tabitha) was rude, not very attentive and just downright unconcerned. Gratuity means that we are showing our gratitude for the service that we received. Our bill was almost $200, so you can imagine the tip that Tabitha received for her mediocre service. I hope to goodness that her tips are split with the other kind wait staff that helped us out. They were much more "service-orientated. I'm a lover of seafood and very fond of Joe's Crab Shack. This was, however, my daughter's first visit and she doesn't want to visit anymore. I pride myself in being a "big tipper" because I appreciate the person serving me. However, I don't feel that a person should be rewarded when they give lackluster service. I dined at the Joe's Crab Shack in Sterling Heights, MI on Friday, March 2, 2007.
