My experience with J and D is that they are reliable and responsive. I never had a problem communicating with J & D and they hire professional process server to serve papers. Yes, they may not always be in the office and you may have to call back to reach someone but the realities today of process serving in New York City require a lot of leg work and they get the job done. I have never been disappointed in the last five or six years with the work they have done for my office. Also, they have moved from this location to Port Richmond Avenue.

Do not waste your money with this Process Server. She is very unprofessional and unreliable. I was very dissatisfied with the service provided. I hired her two days after obtaining a summons from Family Court for a custody hearing. When I called to get an update, she never returned my call. On the last day that the summons was to be served (i.e. 8 days before court date), I went to her office and she had not made any attempts yet! Furthermore, she promised to mail the affidavit to me and I had to go to her office in person the day before the hearing to get a second copy because she mailed it to the address of the defendent! In a nutshell, I paid $55.00 for an affidavit that I could have paid $2.00 for if I had someone else serve the summons and get the document notarized.
