On 6/14/19, a driver behind the wheel on a cement mixer with this company’s phone number on the door made several illegal moves on the road - driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to signal, and failure to yield to right of way - and nearly collided with my vehicle. Instead, found himself blocking the oncoming traffic lane and the exit of a parking lot.
He then demanded that I back my car up so he could get around me instead of correcting himself. Being a CDL driver myself, I am well aware of the frustrations the job can bring. But what happened next is inexcusable.
Instead of owning his mistakes or offering an apology, the guy gets out of the cab and walks over to my open window, making jerky, threatening furtive movements toward me and yelling explicit insults. Eventually reaching into my car, putting his hands on me, digging his nails into my hand and making sloppy attempts to attack me. After 2 brief scuffles, he backed off long enough for me to raise my window as he spit on my windshield.
Someone like this has no business being behind the wheel of anything. I can only hope management takes appropriate action in disciplining all of it’s drivers to ensure that this ridiculousness does not happen in the future when representing the company he works for.
