Island Environmental definitely shows their experience when it matters most.I am in the process of leasing a factory building in Brooklyn, NY, which had one 1500gl underground oil tank, and one 1500gl above ground oil tank as well. I was amazed at how they were able to cut up these monstrosity tanks and remove them with no struggle. Between jackhammering the concrete floors, digging down to the tank and pulling it out using two different machines, it really proved to me how efficient this company really is.Nonetheless, all the paperwork that I had requested for both the tank removals was given to me almost immediately after all the work was completed and now I am safe from the NYS DEC violations.I would recommend this company to everyone who needs any oil work done, whether residential or commercial.

Island environmental tank is extremely unprofessional. I received a quote to drain my oil tank and when island environmental came to do the job they did not have the right equipment to complete the job. They claimed that someone told them that there was only a few inches of oil when, when in reality there was a quarter of a tank, which I informed them of the amount when I received the quote. After their first visit I was told that it would cost $350 cash $380 check, which was a red flag to begin with, and when they were actually able to complete the job I was charged $425. The explanation was again the "few inches of oil that you told us". Do not use them. Avoid at all costs. I only wish I could give them 0 stars.
