I bought my daughter's prom dress in this store and it was a wonderful experience. The selection of gowns was beautiful and the salesladies made my daughter feel very special. I will surely return to In Phase for my younger daughter's prom dress next year.

I have been buying my formal wear from In Phase Fashions for years. I have had nothing but good experiences in this store. They have a wonderful selection of gowns and accessories. The salespersons are very helpful and friendly.

HORRIBLE does not begin to explain the level of service in this "establishment". 1 star is 1 star too many. Rip off artists at its finest! I will be sending in an official complaint to the better business bureau regarding my experience.



After finishing my fitting for an engagement dress 1 store down I decided to check out shoes in this store. I found a pair that I thought would go well so I purchased them and took them back to my dress store to try it on all together. The color tint of the shoes didn't match well so I went back for a refund within 10 MINUTES.



Walking back in felt like a scene from pretty woman with the nasty sales associate except these women are in their 50s desperately trying to hang onto their youth. They remembered me because I was the only person in the store at the time (probably because they made a similar impression on all of Staten Island).



They informed me there are no refunds & only exchanges. This was the first time any mention of their policy was provided. The receipt given to me AFTER my card was swiped had this printed on the bottom. She then pointed to a sign that was no were in general sight to an unsuspecting customer.



The sales women knew well enough to inform me "not walk off of the rug" when trying on the shoes but failed to share their store policy when I decided to buy them. The women ringing up my transaction also passed on the opportunity to make mention of their no refund policy. I guess they were too busy cackling to each other and forgot. The money lost isn't half as bad as the customer service... or lack there of.



I recommend going a couple stores down to Ivory co. where the sales team/owner are amazing!

After trying to search for the dress that I found in this store I was unsuccesful, so unfortunatly I had to purchase it from the unwilling, unhelpful, and as what seemed to be annoyed employees. Making me as the cunsumer feeling pressured by the employees to purchase the dress that I had tried on and would be wearing to my daughter's wedding, since they said it may no longer be available, if not ordered today. I had tried on a size 14 Marsoni dress on in their store which fit perfect, no alterations needed what so ever! However when they said the dress had arrived in the color I wanted, it was a totally different size, puffed out on my hips, straps hanging on me, and the bodice was also to big. After trying on the dress, I was appauled, I pulled the size 14 in the same dress that was on the rack in the store and showed them the difference. They said the reasoning was it is due to different cutters at the manufactuer. However, will order another dress in the size 14. When I recieved the next dress the bodice fit better, however the hip applique still puffed out and the straps were still hanging. Furious, and needing a dress I unfortunatly took the dress out of the store, and if wanted them to do alterations I would have to pay extra. Today, I took the dress to a seamstress and she said "what happened to this dress" I told her what happened and how they sent me another dress. The seamstress said a dress would not be sent from a manufacturer with incomplete stitching that she saw on the inside of the dress. Stating that In Phase had cut only the bodice and took in the bodice to make it seem as if it fit me better, however leaving the applique not touched or the straps. Leaving me with a mishandled dress with incomplete stitching on the inside. BUYER BEWARE! Now I understand why there no return policy on "Dressy Dresses" once an order is placed! (should have been my first red flag)

If you want good service, fair prices and honesty.......this is definitely not the place to go to. I was in the store one day to look at dresses and the enthusiasm of the sales help was nonexistant. When they found time to stop their idle gossip chattering I was finally allowed their help. It was a waste of my time to even bother. I also was alittle taken back by the creditibility of the labels on the dresses they had on display. Many of the dresses had the designer labels removed and I noticed their own labels were most likely sewn in their place in a very unprofessional way. I question this store's integrity and I don't believe they care about the customer's wishes at all! I was also treated as if I was an interuption in their day and that I was wasting their time for help.

After a phone call to them regarding whether or not they carried a specific brand and i was told "yes", i immediately went in to look. I was greeted by less than enthusiastic salespeople and when i told them what i was looking for and that i had called first, they didnt even get off their butts to help me find it. They were too busy chatting about their personal lives, which i found very unprofessional since there was a customer in the store. Also, all of their dress have had the designer's label removed and they have had their own label sew in place so some dresses you cant even tell who the original designer was (i was told that they have the manufacturer of the dress sew in their labels instead of the actual manufacturer's label, but i have a hard time believing that any manufacturer would do this.) I WOULD NOT recommend this place. They have poor service and shady labels.
