I needed a dentist in Starkville for my son, who is deathly afraid of the dentist!!!!! I called on Monday morning and they were able to see him at noon, which was wonderful. From the moment we walked in the door, everyone was amazing! Maryann and Kate at the front desk were super sweet while helping us figure out insurance. They were very helpful and had constant smiles on their faces. When we went back, we met Sarah, the dental assistant. I explained my son's fear, and she was awesome. She explained everything and was very careful to make my son feel comfortable. Then Dr. Herring came in, and his presence just reassured me that I had found the perfect place. Dr. Herring and Sarah both made the experience pleasant for my son. We have him on a dental plan that will be a long term process, and I am very confident that each visit will be just as perfect as the first. I highly recommend Starkville Smiles to anyone. The entire establishment is great!!!!!!

Dr Herring is a very good dentist, and has a fantastic bedside manner. He explains what hes going to do, and really makes sure that you feel comfortable. I had a tooth extracted just today and I could barely feel the shots he used to numb my mouth. He had the tooth out before I even knew he had started. I was amazed. I have never had such a kind dentist, and would really recommend him to anyone who wants a very gentle, talented dentist. I just picked him randomly because I thought his website was appealing, and I am so glad that I did! I also want to mention that I went to a different dentist in Starkville before him and that dentist informed me that I would need 2 root canals. I wanted a second opinion and went to Dr Herring and he just filled them as cavities ( a difference of about $2,000) and it's been almost 2 years and the teeth are doing fine. He has definitely earned my trust!
