Betsy Layne High School is a college preparatory school that provides academic education to students in grades 9 through 12. It provides a full range of courses in business education, computer studies, science, vocal and instrumental music, language arts and social studies. The school also offers a variety of cocurricular activities in the areas of forensics, theater and arts. It organizes a range of athletic activities, such as cross country, football, tennis, basketball, volleyball, track and field, wrestling, baseball and softball. The school has a guidance department that assist students in planning their schedules based on career plans. Betsy Layne High School operates a library media center that offers a variety of reading options.
