• Oral Cancer Screening
  A quality checkup should always begin with the hygiene team. Our hygiene team will take a comprehensive approach to ensure your needs are met. Upon arrival, our hygienists will perform a quick exam the overall health of your mouth. Part of this exam includes reviewing your chart, assessing vitals, and performing an oral cancer screening. If there are any surfaces of the teeth that are difficult to see, our hygiene team may order an X-ray to get a larger look at the health of your mouth. Our hygiene team may also take a mold of your teeth, known as an impression, to observe your structural alignment. Any new findings or molds will be given to your dentist before his or her final examination. This ensures that your experience with us is both efficient and personalized.

• Teeth Cleaning
  From the moment your child walks in our door, we want to make sure he or she is having fun! Our waiting room is filled with a variety of arcade games that your child can play before being taken back to one of our treatment rooms. Once in the treatment room, our TVs are equipped with all your child’s favorite shows to keep him or her entertained throughout the dental cleaning. We even have prize boxes placed nearby, filled with goodies that he or she can take on the way out the door.
• Fluoride Treatment
  After initial inspection, our hygiene team will get to work on the gunk and grime. Our hygienists are trained to remove plaque and tartar from those hard to reach areas on the surface of the teeth and near the gum line. Once the surface is clear, our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth with a fluoride treatment. Fluoride is a mineral that has scientifically been shown to protect and restore the outer layer of your teeth that plaque and tartar like to attack. This preventative measure can help protect the more vulnerable areas of your teeth from decay.
• Dental Sealants
  When the biting surface of your child’s teeth are experiencing signs of decalcification or enamel wear, a sealant may be recommended. A sealant is a clear resin covering placed over the grooves of the biting surface where food particles and plaque bacteria can collect and linger. Prior to the sealant being placed, the biting surface of the tooth is thoroughly cleaned and dried. The sealant will then be chemically bonded to biting surface of the tooth using an adhesive gel or a special light source. Once placed, sealants can last for years. Additionally, because sealants are clear, we can continue to monitor the tooth for any future signs of wear.

• Resin Composite
  Sometimes during examination, we may discover a section of the tooth that has been infiltrated by bacteria. A filling is an easy solution to address this problem. When applying a filling, the soft portions of the tooth that have been eroded by the bacteria will be excavated, and in its place, a composite resin material can be used to fill in the hole that was left behind. Unlike old fashioned silver-mercury fillings, resin fillings can be bonded to your teeth for a strong, natural-looking result. Additionally, under many circumstances, these fillings can be placed without use of local anesthetics.

  Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Dr. Allaeb matriculated that same year into New York University College of Dentistry and graduated in 2013 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery.   Traditional braces have existed for over 100 years and with continual advances in technology remain the most common type of braces. Traditional braces consist of individual metal brackets that are bonded to each tooth and connected by an archwire that runs through each bracket. The archwire is held in place by small elastic rubber bands fitted around the metal brackets known as ligatures. Ligatures provide a colorful look to someone’s braces when they smile. The job of the ligatures is to provide external pressure to the archwire, and this helps move the teeth into the desired alignment.
