MedStar Health is a nonprofit, community-based health care organization that owns and operates seven major hospitals and 18 other health care businesses in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., area. Its hospitals include: Franklin Square Hospital Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Harbor Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, National Rehabilitation Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. Together its facilities provide more than half a million patients each year with medical services including cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, women s services and emergency and trauma care. MedStar Health is based in Columbia, Md.
