I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and the last time I was there was on a Sunday I believe it was the 7th of March for brunch. We had a table of five. As always we have great service, excellent food. But one thing that really amazed me and I really said to myself that is an outstanding, over the top and went over what most people would do. The manager that runs the store. I did not know his name but he's tall, big guy, wearing all black, stands by the food that comes out to be delivered and makes sure everything is high quality I'm sure. He has reddish blond hair I believe. Well I asked to have jelly with my sour toast and I did not know they either ran out or did not have this, but he decided to go at publix and pick up some mini jams so that I would have that for my toast. When I found out that he was doing this he had already left and I was going to tell them that is silly to do that, that I am ok without it. But as soon as I said that he was back,. and handed me two mini jams. That to me is a manager who cares about his customers.
PS Please bring back the stuffed shrimp!
This is a restaurant I choose for basically any occasion. Romantic date night? Check. Sunday brunch with friends? Totally. Lazy lunch with my kids? Yep, that too. The key with this place is that the serving staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the food is consistently, always good. There's nothing "chain restaurant"-ish is about Red Mesa. It's locally owned and it's been around forever. It's really the dining gem of NE St. Pete. You won't find another destination like it. I highly recommend the duck salad for lunch and dinner. The duck is cooked rare (I love it that way) and it's always perfect.
The food is good and the menu is interesting. Just a little on the pricey side.

i love this place i go at least once a week the filet burrito is awesome. they have prolly the best chips and salsa in the bay area. this is must visit in pinellas for sure!
Amazing Food! A must try. Their quesadillas are to die for!
I have been going to Red Mesa for over 10 years. I have never had a bad meal. I bring all of my friends and no one has been disappointed. If you like shrimp, you have to try the the Shrimp Fundido to start and the Cedar Crusted Salmon for dinner. The specials are always mouth watering too. It is Southwest with a Carabian flare cusine there really is no resturant like it. This is my favorite resturant and could become yours too. Michelle
