Dr. Alfred Nelson is a gastroenterologist who treats adults patients ages 18 and older. He specializes in neurogastroenterology and motility, focusing on how the nervous system controls the muscles that move food through the digestive tract. He offers testing in GI motility, which includes esophageal and anorectal manometry as well as Bravo esophageal 24-hour pH testing. Dr. Nelson is an assistant professor with the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
