- Pediatric CareDr. Allison Haupt grew up in Northern California. She holds an MD from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She completed the intern year of her pediatrics residency at Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and completed the remaining years of her pediatrics residency at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
- Primary CareMeghan Glassmacher Cromwell, a nurse practitioner who joined our practice this April. She and her siblings grew up in our practice, and she worked here as a medical assistant a decade ago. She received her BSN and CPNP from the University of Rochester. After that, she worked in primary care in Annapolis for 2 years before joining a pediatric pulmonology group for a year and a half. She has a special interest in asthma and other respiratory issues. She and her husband have a sweet 10-month-old daughter. We feel very lucky to welcome her back to VPAC!
- Ear InfectionsThere may be some situations for which we will still recommend an in-person visit. We will continue to advise patients to come in for concerns such as strep throat, ear infections, urinary tract infections, fevers in patients below a certain age or any illness for which we feel an in-person examination or lab work to be necessary to make a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Emergency CareBethany Epstein graduated from the Medical College of Virginia and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. She remained at Fairfax Hospital to complete a year as Chief Resident of the Fairfax residency program. Following that, she was an associate physician in the Emergency Department of Children’s National Medical Center.
- Flu ShotsSign-ups for either flu shots or COVID vaccines are posted. You may sign up for both Covid vaccines and flu shots at the same visit. Please put in the comment section your child's name and which vaccine you are signing up for, along with age (in years) if you are signing up the patient for a Covid vaccine. ​ Covid vaccines require a detailed administration and record-keeping protocol; we are not able to offer Covid vaccines during other scheduled appointments, but if you have a well visit coming up and it coincides with availability at one of our shot clinics, you can sign up for a shot clinic appointment on the same day, before or after your well visit appointment.

- ImmunizationsWe are also able to provide consults prior to international travel via appointment or walk-in during acute care clinic hours Tues-Fri. We recommend coming in for travel conferences at least 3 weeks prior to travel to administer vaccinations and prescribe malaria prophylaxis, if necessary.
- GastroenterologyShe is on the active staff at Inova Fairfax and Fair Oaks hospitals. Her medical interests include child development, cardiology, nutrition, and gastroenterology.

- ChemotherapyInfluenza vaccination is RECOMMENDED for ALL children and adolescents 6 months and older, their household contacts, and their caregivers. It is especially encouraged for children in daycare, for adolescents living in dormitories, and for travelers. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for patients over 6 months of age with asthma, congenital heart disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, HIV infection, chronic kidney disease, Down syndrome, for those on chronic aspirin/steroid therapy and for those immunocompromised because of chemotherapy or an immunodeficiency. Those in contact with anyone in this group should also be vaccinated, as should everyone in the household (including caregivers) if there are any children from newborn to age 5.
