SilGuard Wood Protection Products SilGuard is non-toxic, environmentally safe, EPA- and FDA-approved and fire resistant. It provides an effective barrier against decay, black mold and toxic mildew, insect infestation and other common wood protection problems. SilGuard's protection is locked into the wood and does not leach or degrade, as all other treatment products are prone to do. We provide the highest quality of workmanship in the application of our products, along with a 20-year limited warranty. Once SilGuard is applied to wood-framed buildings and cured, it is insoluble. All other processes for wood treatment produce a final product that is subject to leaching and are not locked into the wood like SilGuard. SilCrete Concrete Treatment Concrete treated with SilCrete helps to significantly reduce porosity and prevent mold and mildew growth in most masonry products such as concrete, stucco and plasters. A chemical reaction occurs with the excess CaOH in the concrete that permanently binds SilCrete with the surface, making it far more wearable and water-repellent.
